"He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done." (Proverb 19:17)

Remel Bolanos

B.S. Information Technology (Graduated in 2014)
Colegio De Sta. Teresa De Avila
Birthday: December 13, 1993

Remel is the eldest child in the family of 4 children. When he was 11 years old, the biggest blow of his life happened - his father died of heart attack.

In spite of this set back and the subsequent financial constraints, Remel received recognitions and awards in his high school years. He finished as top of his class during his second year, and was Quiz Bee and MTAP representative on his senior year in Camarin High School. Persistence and diligence to obtain academic excellence paid of.

Remel appears to be a promising college student because of his competence and skills. He started attending church service in 2010, decided to become a Christian in March and was baptized in June. From that time, he is in charge of the sound system of the church and has been a counselor in Encounter God Retreat and youth camp.

His mother describes him as a hopeful, quiet, reliable, and hard-working student. Even with no allowance he would continue attending his classes. His mom does sewing jobs, but her income is not enough even to provide for their meals. Remel helps his mother earn a living by doing handicraft jobs. He became emotional when asked about finding a possible sponsor who can support his college education. He said he is grateful to anyone or any organization who can help him pursue his education.

Remel is currently employed as a programmer and helps his mother in the everyday needs of the family.
