"He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done." (Proverb 19:17)

B.S. Information Technology (3rd Year)
Collegio De Sta. Teresa De Avila
Birthday: December 13, 1993

Rachel is the middle child in a family of five who survives by selling "lutong ulam" cooked by her mother. Sometimes, when able, her father would drive a tricycle to help support their daily needs. As the head of the family, her father does not want to leave his wife working alone to earn for them so he drives even though he is sick. Together, they work hard to achieve their dream of finishing college, the ultimate privilege Rachel and her brother and sister can have.

She is a very sweet and loving daughter to her parents. She is also known by her bravery in facing trials in life. Rachel faced the hardest time of her life when her father was diagnosed with kidney problem a day before her graduation in high school. As such, she was forced to miss enrollment in college. But because of her faith in God, that unexpected event did not cause her to give up. She held on and kept on believing that God has the best plans for her. She faithfully continues to serve the Lord by being a part of the church music ministry.

After what happened to her father, Rachel became more mature about her perspectives in life. That experience made her more thankful for the blessings that come their way. Now she is currently enrolled, taking up Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She wants to enlarge the food business of their family someday. The biggest achievement for her right now is to share her testimony to her classmates about her relationship with God and how He has been faithful to her. She looks for opportunities to win them to Christ and to bring them to church or to a youth camp. She is so grateful that God made a way for her dream of continuing her studies to come true through PCM college sponsorship.

Rachel currently works in Valiant Paper Asia Pacific Corporation as part of the telesales staff. She helps to support her mom in the everyday needs of the family.
